Finally, a real look at Marvel’s Agent Carter! After all the talk of the other movies and TV shows that Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) might appear in, we get to see her in action in her own series.
In this extended clip, Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) has a mission for Peggy—plus, we meet his trusty butler-turned-Peggy’s support, Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy).
Turns out a bunch of Howard’s “babies” (blueprints, plans, etc.) have been sold overseas, while others are going on the black market at home. In the latter category is the formula for “molecular nitramine.” It’s a particularly nasty explosive that could level a city block—and it’s Peggy’s job to find it. It’s unclear if the season’s MacGuffin will be this specific formula, or if each episode will see Peggy running down a different piece of Stark weaponry.
Also, Jarvis is wonderful.
“What now, Ms. Carter?”
“Now, I go to work.”
PEGGY. We knew you could do it, even before the clip cut to a trailer of you going all 1940s-Alias on some baddie.
